Maybe we need a troop that meets over Zoom, for those of us who are far from others (or cannot go out).

The format could be:

meet (with a cup of coffee/tea/water/whatever) and talk a little (how are you, what are you making/working on) and then everyone leaves Zoom on and crafts their own things,

then meets back for a little break (how is it going?) ,

all craft some more,

meet back up and show what you did.

Thank you for highlighting this. ❤️ I know not everyone has a troop nearby or can meet in person. My hope is that people will gather one where they are. And if Zoom is what helps make that happen, I'm all for it. 💛 🍄

This would be so ideal! I’m not seeing many others out of Wyoming or way to far to ever have a meet up.

I'd like to be involved with a zoom meet!!

Is there a way to do this solo? A guide? I joined substack just for you and am trying to figure it out. I feel so old. Lmal

Cara, you joined Substack for me? 🥹🥰 That means the world! You don't need a troop to be part of the Society. 🍄 Some resources are designed for groups, but many can be enjoyed on your own too, especially once we get the celebration badges ready! Substack definitely has a learning curve. I made a little tour video here that might help: https://frolicandforagesociety.substack.com/p/a-clubhouse-tour I've been here for years and am still discovering things. Thanks so much for being here! 🥰

I also joined when I saw that post on Facebook. I’m so looking forward to seeing this evolve! Even made a post of my own, just to try it out. I’m from, and living in Sweden, so often write in Swedish but the substack translation thing is great 👍🏻.

Matilda, welcome! Thank you for being here and through translation, no less. You're from Sweden? That is so cool! I am grateful you are here.

Hi Michele,

I also joined, like Cara, just for you and the Frolic and Forage Society! I came across your reel on Facebook and had to join immediately. This is going to be amazing! Whimsy and crafts galore; I can't wait!

hi Michele! I’m the same as Cara - I joined Substack just for you and for the Frolic and Forage Society! i’m enjoying seeing everyone’s projects and I can’t wait to start doing more myself!

I love to do crafts, but I always feel like I’m kind of meandering. I really am looking forward to actually having a goal in mind for my projects.🥰

Hugs from TN!

Davina, yay! I am so so glad you are here. It is a massive leap to figure out a whole new platform... especially these days. Thank you for your trust!

Are there any thoughts about a FaceBook Group where we could go and chat, and maybe do a livestream once a month on a rotating leader basis? If there is enough interest, I will start one!

I love that you’re already looking for more ways to connect! For now, I’d like to keep our Society-wide gathering spaces here in the Clubhouse so everyone knows where to find us and we don’t end up scattered across lots of different platforms.

Local troops are absolutely welcome to create their own private spaces for coordinating and chatting, though! And there will be more opportunities to gather and connect here as the Society grows.

Substack is an interesting choice ngl. But I'm here. I'm not confident enough to create my own troop since I'm a bit of a hermit but I don't mind joining in.

There have definitely been some Alabama people piping in! One of my best friends is in Gulfport. This seems like a hermit-friendly gathering!!

Idk man that means I actually have to leave the house.... 🤣

Hello! I discovered you through Lea, who is an ah-MAZE-ing, lovely friend. Is there a tutorial for the mushroom beret? I’ve looked through several posts but haven’t found anything. Thanks. ☺️

Me too!! I'd never heard of Substack before but I'm really loving it! I'm so happy to be a part of the Frolic and Forage Society, whimsy and delight make life so much more lovely xox

With love from Melbourne, Australia xoxo 🤗
